Paris Fashion Week Chronicles

Bonjour everyone,

I’m back from probably the craziest most exciting week, which some of you may know as the Paris Fashion Week (Faints).  So before I go into detail, I just wanted to say that I haven’t been able to blog earlier because I’ve been so sick and I also wanted to make a huge blog post about everything Fashion Week related, so here I am! So without further a due, here is my first experience at Paris Fashion Week:

This first night I went to the Dice Kayek pop up shop with my friend Monique (Instagram),  which I would definitely advise everyone to check out (Instagram).  I loved the interesting use of all the shiny brooches, while still having that cool edge.  If you like that sort of pretty grunge look you’ll definitely love their stuff. After that we went out for some nice drinks and just enjoyed the night! ALSO I’m not sure if this is just a Paris thing but in every bar/club they always give out sparklers. But I’m not complaining or anything because we all know I know how to get lit (pun intended).

This was probably, my favourite night of all of fashion week.  The Rihanna Fenty- Puma fashion show.  A bunch of my friends and I did some snooping and discovered the address for the fashion show, and decided to go shoot some street style pictures (as well as see if we could see any celebrities).  I don’t know how, but somehow I ended up in the front and centre of the paparazzi pit, but hey why not! While there we met some friends, and somehow got invited to the after party hosted by Virgil Abloh (who if you’re living under a rock is the creator of the brand Off White, as well as many other things).  We started our night off at the VIP Room (a club) which is super exclusive and lots of fun, and than made our way to the after party.

Rihanna’s collection was absolutely stunning, I would wear just about everything in the collection, and I would definitely recommend checking it out.  Being outside the fashion show was an amazing experience, I really got to feel the vibe and see lots of celebrities and famous bloggers, designers, and more enter and exit the fashion show.  Here’s the video of the fashion show.

The after party, was like a taste of the Toronto club scene (that I miss oh so much).  Good music, good people, lots of drinks (sorry mom)! Overall an amazing party, the amount of fashionable and just overall amazing people all crammed in one room really made me feel like that was where I belonged.  *Note to self: Do not ever wear Balenciagas to a full night out*

Although we didn’t go to any fashion shows these days, work (not so) hard play harder right? 😉 We went back to the VIP Room, where we got to party with the most amazing people, and just had so much fun enjoying each others company! Before that, we went to this really beautiful restaurant called Hotel Amour, they have the most amazing cocktails and the vibe with all the palm leaves and lit candles is very relaxing and chic. For a look at this night as well as all the events and shows my friends and I attended check out this amazing vlog my friend created:  Paris Fashion Week 9/16 – 10/16

Like I mentioned in my previous blog, I was given the opportunity to go to Chanel and shoot street style with one of my professors, and put them into a trend report.  These were some of my favourite looks:

Thank you all so much for reading! I started this blog off just for myself and my close family and friends to be able to keep up with my crazy life, but I have gotten over 1000 views on it, and so much positive feed back so thank you all for all the support! For another look into this past fashion week be sure to check out the video linked earlier. I’m off to Barcelona for the weekend to celebrate Monique’s birthday! So until I am back…

Au revoir mon amour!

P.S. Make sure to check out my video teaser for the blog

P.P.S. A huge shoutout to my amazing friends for helping with the visuals for this blog (K,M,&S)
